A Love Story Built to Last
Originally built in 1886 as a wedding gift, the Plymouth residence was stripped to its shell and meticulously rebuilt by McCormack Builders, blending period-perfect details with modern performance. Every element, from hand-carved plinth blocks and salvaged granite fireplaces to geothermal heating, solar panels, and a slate roof, reflects a balance of historic authenticity and forward-thinking sustainability. The project was shaped by a deeply collaborative process between McCormack, Brown Fellonosa Architects, and the client, with weekly site meetings and personal involvement from the homeowner, who sourced vintage details and championed salvaging original materials. For all involved, the transformation was a labor of love, and an act of caretaking that honors the past while ensuring the home’s story will continue for generations.
