The Maison + Objet Paris trade show is happening now, and John Kelsey and Sally Wilson of Wilson Kelsey Design are there to report on their favorite aspects of the luxury design show, and the most inspiring parts of Paris.
John and Sally first attended a breakfast hosted by David Webster of Webster & Co, the high-end wholesale showroom located in the Boston Design Center.
Also in attendance at the breakfast were Paula Dahar, the partners from Encore and Dell Mitchelle, and Jon Browning, who presented his additions to the lighting line for 2015.
After breakfast, the pair walked to the Jacquemart-Andre Museum to admire the art collection and interior architecture. Below, the gorgeously gilded reception hall.
The music room, seen below, is elegant in style with its bold red walls and beautiful ceiling mural. Not to mention the elaborate ceiling moldings that border it.
Their favorite part, however, was the grand stair hall which, for John, was "worth the complete price of admission." We have to agree - the beautiful details throughout the space are just stunning.
Afterwards, John and Sally strolled down Haussmann Boulevard, and dropped in on the Waterworks and Grange showrooms.
They also snapped some photos of some beautiful Parisian doors.
