Founded twenty-five years ago, Battle Associates Architects is committed to creating comfortable, exceptional homes for the way people live today. Principal John Battle believes that the architectural process begins with careful consideration of a site’s features, and through iterative process, grows organically from each client’s needs and lifestyle.

Whether designing an outdoor fieldstone hearth for a family to gather round in celebration, or an intimate den with built-in seating and cozy nooks for hours of reading, John takes pride in creating spaces that become experiences for the people that live in them. He pays every client particular attention, designing projects ranging in scope from sustainable new homes to antique renovations, from simple boathouses to complicated barns. A graduate of Harvard University Graduate School of Design, John has designed projects in every New England state as well as Connecticut, New York and the Washington DC area.
