Company Profile:

Since its founding in 1971, Cape Associates, Inc. has become one of Cape Cod’s premier custom builders. The third generation family-run business has grown from a staff of five, including lifelong builder and founder Lester F. Langhans, Jr., to a network of 120 year-round employees in three Cape Cod offices.

Since its inception, Cape Associates has built hundreds of homes on Cape Cod and the islands and is well versed on the special area’s terrain, permitting and logistics. The company offers a full suite of services—from multimillion dollar commercial and residential new constructions to renovations and home improvements of all sizes and scale, utilizing Cape Associates’ design-build services or working with the client’s plan or architect of choice. Throughout its decades in the industry, Cape Associates has cultivated a deep bench of highly skilled subcontractors and vendors, and counts its in-house carpentry shop among its many resources.

In addition to new builds and renovations, Cape Associates offers painting, home and commercial management, and residential improvements and repairs. Its Services Division navigates a comprehensive list of home improvement and maintenance needs with ease and dexterity, from kitchen and bath remodels, tiling, plumbing and millwork to re-roofing and masonry repairs, skylight and window installation, deck resurfacing, porch and beach stair construction, gutter cleaning and more.

Every division is driven by a dedication to quality, craftsmanship and integrity. Together with a commitment to creating enduring relationships and one-of-a-kind structures, these core principles are at the heart of Cape Associates’ mission.

We just love these strong and supportive types, and think you’ll agree. Architectural Design, Inc. cultivated a "tree-house...
Contemporary Architecture, inside and out
Clean lines. Pleasing geometry. A close connection to nature. The best modern homes have a refreshing, stripped-down bearing that compels the residents to simply be. There is no fuss, just form, simply the essence of a design—which is a credit to both the architect and builder. We take a look at five inspired properties that master that modern sensibility—inside and out. North Pamet Ridge House...
