The Cottage Thinks Spring

High-end home furnishings and accents

The Cottage, Concord’s home furnishings, accents and interior design shop, is bursting with new lines to bring color and a breath of fresh air into your home this spring.

The handcrafted Irish pottery of Nicholas Mosse is among the latest offerings, and Designer Christina Stetson tells us that the brand has quite a following. Mosse himself trains and employs locals who handcraft and hand paint each individual piece in the family mill in the countryside of County Kilkenny to be sent all over the world.

The Landscape pattern

The Cottage carries the Forget Me Not, Clover, Landscape and Lawn patterns with pieces ranging from plates, pitchers and bowls of all sizes, as well as mugs, creamers, and salt and pepper cruets. The country-chic looks range from dainty florals to pastorals to vibrant, one-of-kind “solids” (or, as close as Mosse gets to a single hue).

Mosse’s “double dipper” holds hummus and dips, salsa, jams or chutneys and is perfect for casual entertaining.

The Cottage also has an array of new furnishings with a decidedly lighter feel to refresh your living spaces. Devotees of blue and white palettes have plenty to choose from, as The Cottage prominently features the breezy color combination.

We were charmed by a comfy and cool upholstered accent chair animated by a wonderful hare accent pillow by Ryan Studio.

And also taken with an occasional chair by Palecek that brings wicker and texture into the mix.

Talk about sitting pretty—the caning and detail of this piece make it a welcome addition to any living space.
