Dan K. Gordon Landscape Architects was taken on to transform the outdoor space of a 1930s property. The first step: re-design the home's 'confusing arrival sequence.'
A beautiful winding path was incorporated, creating a gracious entrance. Privacy from the street was another concern, and plants and trees were added to create a natural-looking barrier.
In the backyard, broad lawns, a dining terrace and pool area were incorporated into the existing landscape to make a cohesive whole. We're loving the manicured look created with straight lines and symmetrical hedges.
A beautiful rock wall and water element functions as an enclosure for the pool area. We love the attention to detail in this backyard – the entirety of the space is covered in a lush variety of flowers, shrubs, hedges and trees.
Not to mention, the view from the pool and terrace is absolutely breathtaking. The landscape architecture of this home's outdoor space frames and complements the natural beauty of the waterfront.
