Featured Project: Beacon Hill Townhouse Renovation

In the historic neighborhood of Boston’s Beacon Hill, sits a newly renovated townhouse.

This was the third time F.H. Perry Builder worked with this client on a home renovation; and although the client was absent for much of the process – they were in good hands. F.H. Perry Builder partnered with Wells & Fox Architectural Interiors for interior design, Nantucket Housefitters for cabinetry and Sweeney Brothers Construction for copper fabrication and installation.

The home was previously renovated in the late 1990’s – early 2000’s, but was still in need of a renovation when the client purchased it.

“We tried to bring the home back to its original intent,” explains Project Executive at F.H. Perry Builder Michael Resteghini.

F.H. Perry kept parts of the townhouse as is, and completely renovated other spaces. In the living room, Wells & Fox Architectural Interiors added white molding, along with chair rail and trim features on the fireplace wall. They kept the built-ins on both sides of the fireplace.

The bathroom was reconfigured and fully gutted. Everything is new except for the doors, which are original and repainted.

The deck was originally part of the townhouse, but in poor shape. F.H. Perry Builder replaced everything from the substructure to a new roof. Sweeney Brothers did all of the copper work on the deck. The windows however are original to the building and were not adjusted.
