“VIEWS FROM THE EAST” OPENS AT THREE STONES GALLERY JANUARY 17

Views from the East show at Three Stones Gallery

Three Stone Gallery unveils its winter show "Views from the East." Curated by Jennifer M. Johnston and Shelley Drake Hawks, this new exhibit showcases the works of Yary Livan, one of the few master ceramists to have survived the Cambodian genocide of the 1970s. “Views from the East” also features paintings, photography, miniatures and mixed media collage and installations by seven additional artists who draw inspiration from the traditions of Eastern cultures.

Traditional Cambodian ceramics and temple ornamentation by Yary Livan 

Photographs of Chinese gardens and architecture by Jon Burris

Small mixed media installations of Cambodian dwellings by Margaret Rack

Asian inspired mixed media photographs/pastels by Jennifer M. Johnston 

Scenic miniatures inspired by Asian travels by Mary Ellen Cahill

Oil painting inspired by travel to Japan by Nan Hass Feldman

Sumi painting on paper by X Bonnie Woods

Mixed media collage by Lyca Blume

“Views from the East” is on view from January 17-March 10.
