Van Millwork Makes Generous Donation to Boston Building Resources

Van Millwork made a generous donation to the Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources. Boston Building Resources is a nonprofit organization. The Reuse Center accepts donations of good-quality used and surplus building materials and sells them at low prices, with extra discounts for low- and moderate-income customers and nonprofit organizations. Because materials are priced low to remain affordable, income from sales does not cover all our operating costs. Financial contributions from individuals, companies, and foundations provide the rest of the funding they need.

Having access to affordable materials from the Reuse Center at BBR makes it possible for low- and moderate-income homeowners to repair and care for their homes on limited budgets, and, as a result, to improve their lives and neighborhoods. By diverting perfectly good materials from landfills and delivering them into the hands of homeowners and nonprofits, they reduce the construction industry's burden on the solid waste stream and benefit the environment.
