Private House and Walking Tour of Charlestown

Join the New England Chapter of the ICAA on a private house and walking tour of historic Charlestown this Saturday, May 18. Explore the elegant interiors and architectural details of 19th and early-20th century houses located within the areas of the Bunker Hill Monument, and Harvard (at Town Hill) and Winthrop squares that recall the charm of their time. Groups will be led by architect Eric Inman Daum AIA, and historian/real estate developer Raffi Robert Berberian who will divulge noteworthy points of architectural interest along the way. Lunch at the Warren Tavern, Est. 1780, one of the nation’s oldest watering holes, is included in the tour and attendees are invited to join the New England Chapter for a reception in the final hour.

About the Guides:

Eric Inman Daum: Former President and current member of the Board of the New England Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, as well as a recipient of the 2019 Bulfinch Award.
Raffi Robert Berberian: A member of the Charlestown Preservation Society, taking a prominent role in two of this organization’s biennial house tours.
