Cotuit Bay Residence by Nicholaeff Architecture + Design
Nicholaeff Architecture + Design created a beautiful waterfront home on the shores of Cotuit Bay. Their objective was to maximize the view and, as always, reflect the way their clients live. Nicholaeff Architecture + Design chose a pared down, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic with lots of white and neutral shades, different varieties of wood throughout, and curved walls and stairs to complement the home's beautiful natural surroundings.

A graceful foyer welcomes guests with glossy light wood floors, high ceilings, and an undulating staircase.
The living room takes full advantage of the waterfront view with floor-to-ceiling windows and custom designed mahogany frames. Low, unobtrusive furniture in light and neutral shades provides seating for plenty without taking the focus off the outdoors.
The kitchen is open and expansive, encompassing a dining space and providing views at every angle of Cotuit Bay. A sleek countertop and minimalist furniture once again let the waterfront view take center stage.
Upstairs, a bedroom uses color sparingly, creating a serene space free of distractions. A fun loft was added above the bed, and built with a custom ladder for the clients.
The view from the loft.
The Master Bedroom is spacious and comfortable with a prime view of the water. In keeping with the home's color scheme, the room exudes a quiet calm with neutral whites, beiges, blues and teals.
The Master bath is a stylish retreat with clean lines and modern amenities. We're loving the floor-to-ceiling glass shower walls – a simple yet beautiful look.
A guest room provides ample space for friends and family, as well as the perfect reading nook for lazy afternoons.
A home office space provides the perfect corner to catch up on work. We're loving the neutral palette and simple furnishings, and the way they encourage clutter-free living.
Outside, a pool house provides the perfect space for summer relaxation.
A curved wrapped porch responds to the terrain's jagged topography, and provides another vantage point from which to enjoy the unobstructed water view.
