Architectural Salvage: Tour, Tips, Demo, Design, Projects & More at Restoration Resources

On Thursday November 19th, Restoration Resources, located in Boston’s historical South End and Boston’s only Architectural Salvage business, will host “Architectural Salvage: Tour, Tips, Demo, Design, Projects & More”, exclusively for attendees of ABX, who will also earn 2.5 continuing education and AIA (American Institute of Architects) learning units.

ABX is the leading building industry event in the Northeast, and Restoration Resources is proud to be a part of this prestigious event that attracts many professionals in the design, architecture and construction industry. Mr. Bill Raymer, South End resident and owner of the 7,000 sq. ft. retail store and warehouse, will be leading the tour, along with Designer/Builder Brendan Haley of B Haley Designs.

Bill Raymer, Restoration Resources Owner

Over the past 25 years, Mr. Bill Raymer has earned the reputation of being a “salvage aficionado”, “architectural antiques historian”, and an “expert in salvage design”. Brendan Haley is an award winning designer of residential, retail and a number of restaurants throughout the Greater Boston area, each of which have been recognized by Boston Magazine as the “Best of Boston”. The two will provide demonstrations with actual products, and highlight the construction techniques for selecting and integrating reclaimed building materials into both new and period properties as well as design schemes. Participants will gain hands-on experience on how to repurpose antique salvage in new and different ways.

Although the tour is open for conference attendees only, Brendan can be contacted for private design consultations, while Bill welcomes individuals who are not able to attend ABX to contact him to schedule a private tour. Restoration Resources is also having a fun holiday event open to the public that includes 10% off all merchandise on Wednesday, Dec 2nd, as part of the South End’s annual Shopping and Dining Event with 40 participating merchants from 4 -9pm.
