A Day of Discovery at The Ticking Tent

On May 2nd, a drizzly Saturday morning, the fields of Spring Hill Vineyards in New Preston, Connecticut transformed into a haven for design lovers and curious collectors alike. Despite the weather, a line formed early, as the promise of discovery outweighed the gray skies. Throughout the day, The Ticking Tent welcomed a steady stream of eager guests, from designers to retail consumers. Inside, the tent buzzed with energy: wine flowed from an Airstream bar, dogs wandered happily between tables of antiques, and vendors stood ready to share the stories behind their carefully curated pieces. There was a sense of anticipation in the air, as if every corner held the possibility for an unexpected find.

Born from a rainy afternoon idea over lunch at Pastis in New York City, The Ticking Tent channels the thrill of the hunt into a refined, immersive shopping experience. Founded by Christina Juarez and Benjamin Reynaert, the event brings together a global collection of artisans and bespoke brands, each selected with an eye for craftsmanship, quality, and style. More than just a market, it’s a celebration of thoughtful sourcing and timeless design, where wardrobes, tabletops, and china cupboards are filled with one-of-a-kind treasures.
