’90s No More: A Contemporary Kitchen Transformation

Roomscapes Cabinetry & Design Center gave a ho-hum kitchen from the ’90s a chic and contemporary new look. This gourmet kitchen and bar now has a rich chocolate vibe, thanks to its warm, wide-plank walnut floor, Wood-Mode quarter-sawn oak Shaker-style cabinetry with an ember stain and its leathered quartzite “Fantasy Brown” countertops.

Roomscapes’ designer swapped a slender, cashew-shaped island for the room’s new centerpiece, a striking, oversized prep area with a conversation-friendly “teardrop” table extension. 

The professional-grade range is also a focal point of the room; a Stainless steel accent panel with mosaic penny rounds helps draw the eye to the stove and hood.

A wine bar just beyond the eating area is the icing on the cake (or nightcap, perhaps?), and makes this casual but urban space ready for entertaining.
