Jim Gauthier, Susan Stacy and their team of project managers have worked on a variety of design endeavors since the inception of Gauthier-Stacy Incorporated in 1995. A sampling of their works include an exotic residence on an island off the coast of Florida, an Adobe-style home in Arizona, a Normandy-style country home in Tennessee, a 75-foot antique yacht, an oceanfront Shingle-style home on Cape Cod, and a Gothic Farmhouse in Illinois. Numerous other homes throughout New England, Florida and the Metropolitan Chicago area are also included in their successful and creative portfolio.

One can talk about fabric, furniture, lighting and the shape or scale of a space. To Gauthier-Stacy, those are only a few aspects of what design is about. To them, design is about people and their relationship to their space. It not only involves an individual lamp, but the table it sits on, the chair adjacent to it and the many other elements, which comfortably and creatively complete the room. At Gauthier-Stacy, they believe a room is most interesting when it comes alive and is animated by the people who inhabit it.
