Veteran antique dealers Dan McAuliffe (owner of Blackstone Furniture Restoration) and Jerry Freeman (formerly of Camden Companies and Boston’s Shreve, Crump & Low) founded the Barn at 17 in May 1999. Their guiding principal is to offer high-end quality antiques of exceptional style at a less expensive address. The atmosphere at this BEST OF BOSTON 2010 recipient is informal yet professional; McAuliffe and Freeman’s knowledge and experience is extensive, and the Barn has become a favored resource for many of Boston’s interior designers and discerning homeowners.

Blackstone Furniture Restorers, a five-man repair shop located on the premises, specializes in all manner of antique furniture restoration and customization. Working closely with interior designers and homeowners, the Barn at 17 ensures that every item sold is in superior original condition.
