Woods Hole Pool House by Kistler & Knapp Builders

Kistler & Knapp Builders recently completed a stunning pool house project in Woods Hole, Cape Cod. Offering an unbeatable view of the nearby harbor, this pool house takes waterfront living to a new level of style, luxury, and contemporary elegance.

Unimposing from the main home, the pool house and outdoor pool blend seamlessly into the manicured lawn as it slopes gracefully down to the waterfront. The position of the pool house keeps it from blocking the beautiful ocean view.

From the pool deck, the homeowners enjoy a nearly unobstructed view of the harbor. Mature trees line the property and provide shade and privacy without blocking the stunning ocean vista.

The pool house and deck, with their open, flowing design, offer guests numerous spaces for relaxing - lounge chairs offer a chance to soak up the sun, while a section of comfortable couches and chairs is perfect for evening cocktails and appetizers. Covered dining areas are more suitable for dinner parties and gatherings, and provide ample space for sitting and chatting or just settling in with a good book.

A retractable door ensures this pool house can be used in the colder spring, fall, and winter months.

A partially covered lounge area is perfect for sitting back and taking in the view.

This dining area can be adapted for both formal and casual occasions, and the trellis overhang provides filtered sunlight perfect for daytime dining.

The covered lounge space is absolutely stunning, offering protection from the elements and a full kitchen area. Hanging lantern-like pendant lamps add a soothing aesthetic, and wicker furniture keeps the space feeling casual and beachy.

The kitchen area features upholstered stools, an oven cooktop and stove, a refrigerator, a sink, and ample cabinet and storage space.

Of course, the space transitions gorgeously from day to night. Creative lighting and a low fireplace add ambiance and warmth.

An outdoor tabletop fireplace keeps guests warm as they enjoy the nightime air and a wonderful sunset panorama.

Dim, downward-facing lighting keeps this pool house from becoming an imposing presence on the surrounding nighttime setting.
